Brandon Schmitt, MA, LPC

Feeling lonely, unheard, hopeless, numb, or just simply tired are all valid responses to traumatic, chaotic, and misaligned events in our lives. Pushing through discomfort does not have to be your only option.

Clients of mine can expect to be genuinely heard, valued, and celebrated for who they currently are. I value transparency, collaboration, authenticity, and accountability. This means that while working with me you have a teammate who is determined to hear you and work within your world.

We will explore your strengths and interests to create a therapeutic plan that not only validates your experiences but elevates them. Empathy, humor, sarcasm, and relationship building are a few of my strengths that I utilize within session. I cannot wait to discover how we will use your strengths and interests in creating the life you want.

Great psychotherapy is based on a strong relationship between client and therapist. My priority is to build that relationship first and strengthen it through communication and feedback from you.

My primary approach to therapy is Trauma-Informed and Client-Centered. This means that wherever you want to go in therapy, I am right there with you. I also utilize trauma informed strategies and techniques from Play-Therapy, Art-Therapy, Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, and CBT/DBT. Most importantly, I take pride in creating a space where you feel heard, safe, and prioritized.
